Rough running

Asked by Brandon Jul 13, 2009 at 05:12 AM about the 2002 Nissan Sentra

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my 02 Sentra has been running rough for a while. Its very intermittent so its hard to figure out what is going on. It throws a misfire code when it does it. Ive replaced my crank shaft position sensor thinking it might fix the problem. But it didnt work. The car when driven in the rough running state after about 5 min of driving will correct itself. Anyone else have this problem or know what could be wrong?

sound like somthing that happens in the cold stage of the engine, have you looked into a simple fuel filter or pump clog?

how many miles are on it? Does the code say wich cylinder is misfiring? any oil consumtion? 02's are known for burning up the pre-cats and sucking peices of it inside the cylinder... they're also known for sucking in the screws from the intake manifold secondarys. GL
