Can wire to fuel injection come loose by itself?

Asked by Guru9ZFJY2 Dec 19, 2020 at 04:31 PM about the 2000 Lexus RX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

$220.00 later my mechanic says it was a loose wire to fuel injection. Invoice
says Tighten ECM Ground. Replace FI relay. Does this really happen by itself?
Or am I paying for some mechanics mistake?

The wire may have been loose or corrosion may have inhibited the electrical connection. A lot can happen over 20 years and hundreds of thousands of miles! You may or may not be right but you could never prove it. If you do not trust your mechanic find one you can trust.
