Car beeps while driving.

Asked by Kawai Oct 22, 2016 at 12:43 AM about the 2002 Nissan Altima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just replaced the battery and alternator in my 2002
Nissan Altima. But now it beeps the moment I open the
car door and intermittently while I'm driving. What the hell
is it doing?

Any warning lights on dash or the center display? Low battery on the keyfob? I will assume it's not the please fasten seatbelt warning. Generally there isn't much factory that will beep. Aftermarket stereo? Aftermarket alarm or remote start?

No lights on dash or the center display. I bought it a year ago but never got a keyfob with it. There is an aftermarket stereo in it and I didn't realize it had an alarm until the damn thing started beeping when I changed the alternator.
