2004 nissan frontier

I bought a brand new battery yesterday and we hooked it
up as soon as we put the positive and negative on we get
a motor running sound we tried starting it and it clicks but
wont turn over or let alone have anything such as lights
and horn work i have no idea what could be wrong...

Why did you replace the battery because it wouldn't start ? Sounds like starter problems , wired wrong or something

    nissan will stay on with no problem,i left it on for half an hour with no problem it will star to choke and die after runnig for 10-to 15 mints
