resetting sound system HELP PLEASE!!

i just purchased this car from someone (who didnt give me any of the manuals) but after i got it i noticed the down arrow on the 'scan' and 'tune' buttons for the sound system dont work. do i have to carry it to a shop to get fixed.
also. i was trying out the audio panel and accidentially set the balance of the system all the way to the right and now since the down arrow on the 'tune' button doesnt work i cant get the balance for the system centered again...PLEASE HELP ME!!!is there someway i can reset the audio controls?

You will have to take this to the dealership. Can't tell if your battery was disconnected and thus anti-theft was activated, but the dealer will be able to help you.
