How tight should the drive belt be on a 1994 Mitsubishi Galant?

Replaced the belt on my 1994 but it keeps coming off....  Thinking I'm not making it tight enough or something....

my bad that's what I meant is the idler pulley tensioner,, I had one go bad on my car and it got worse and worse til the belt wouldn't stay on for more that a few miles, put a new on and never had another problem again
