why do cars that don't match my search criteria get emailed to me?

Dealers that you send inquiries to are going to hound you with anything and everything they have to sell you a car, once they have your contact information they will get pushy and high~pressure. They will send you "we have this one that you might like..." even if it's nowhere near what you want. Whatever you do DO NOT give them social security number, with it they will run credit checks and multiple checks can actually hurt your score with Experian, TransUnion, Equifax (TRW does not exist anymore)

I have the same problem, and it's not pushy dealers, it's cargurus.com. Example: I only want to see cars with manual transmissions, and CarGurus keeps sending me links to cars with automatics...
