How do you remove auto.tensioner pulley on a 2002 mitsubishi montero sport

Why? Is the pulley bad? Just take a socket wrench and pull down and that should free it up so you can take the belt off. You might as well replace the belt while you are at it.

Expose the timing belt set up then loosen up the bolt on the pulls and then the belt will become lose and the pulley will come off. Then reinstall a new one and retime and install the timing belt properly.
