Start with the simplest & cheapest stuff first. Water in the battery. Battery cables corrode check them for stiffness. Any auto service can check your battery for voltage & charge (12+vdc) & water, corrosion, dead cells, loose connections, etc.. Alternator check. too. THEN if that's alright, look at fan belts, pulleys, & alternator, Start at the beginning not go right to the expensive end (alt.). I've seen guys replace everything only to find out it was a $3.00 cable. Your red light is an indicator that something in your electrical charging system is going bad, find it. Good Lucl JIMZ
