Intermittent cvt problem

Asked by Guru1LBHP Sep 06, 2019 at 11:10 PM about the 2004 MINI Cooper

Question type: General

Intermittently fails to engage in drive mode,
reverse mode works fine . Fluid recently changed ,
service history unknown vehicle has approximately
175000 miles. Seems as though when it fails to
engage a few shifts and or backing up in reverse
seems to temporarily resolve the issue.any insight
would be greatly appreciated.
