Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1997 mercury grand marquis that
has ttrouble starting in the cold.  All
summer it does fine, but as winter hits, iit
won't always start. It acts like it will, then
the dash lights dim and it won't do
aanything. I can get it started if i jump start
it.

Any ideas or suggestion?

How old is your battery. Cold weather kills them and the die even faster when weak

I did replace the battery and it helped for a few weeks. Maybe I just got a dud battery?
