I have a 2000 marquis and replaced fuel pump and filter still would not start had it towed to dealer ship and turns out one of my kids had slammed door to hard and triggered the accident switch they reset it for me and didn't charge me a dime so never hurts to check. I think the switch is in the trunk but you may have to check your manual.
