While driving in second gear, clutch pedal
suddenly would not depress. Pedal simply
will not move.

you say clutch so i assume its a manual.... check your master cylender or your brake fluid because smaller vahicles uses a hydrolic clutch system...which the hydrolic fluid is your brake fluid borrowed from your breke fluid resavor so check brake fluid then bleed the clutch (the bleed screw is just like on a brake caliper)
