What is fast? It is suppose to when cold, once it is warmed up does it idle down?

NO. it continues to race and i drove it once for about about a half mile and when i put it into neutral,it was like if i was given it gas.It has done this about 3 times in the last 3 weeks and only when cold and i do not wait for it to warm up.

There must be a check engine light on, should take it to a shop to have any codes read to point you into the right direction for a fix. There are 3 different sensors that could cause this, and maybe a vacuum leak. Should have someone look at it.
