2000 Cougar

My daughter has a 2000 Cougar and we are having problems with the battery light flashes the ABS light goes on and then the car bascically dies.  We have replaced the battery but it still happens.  Alternator, wires..... anyone have any idea's?

I would lean towards alternator - A battery will very rarley put an alternaotr light on .

my batter light came on in my truck...and go figure the aletnator went 10 minutes later with no warning at all 30 miles away from home in a snow storm and it was only 10 degrees out .... gotta love it
