Alternator harness

I  have a 03 grand marquis and my
battery light stays on  after I start it up
for a while it cuts off  and I replace the
alternator and  battery... so if I had a
bad alternator harness would it like
juice the battery down some.. so
could anyone help me please and
thank you

A bad alternator harness may cause the alternator not to charge resulting in the battery running down while the vehicle is running. If you have access to a dc voltmeter you can check the voltage at the battery engine running. It should be somewhere between 13.5 and 14.7 volts. If it in the 12s the alternator is not charging and the cause needs to be determined.
