Need advice

While driving down the highway I get an aroma of
burning pull over thinking it's my water Reservoir is
full so I go to take off pull out on the highway and
instantly my whole car starts shaking so I figured it
was my tire long story short tire is fine let it set for
a couple hours got back in drove it home no
burning smell no shaking what could be the cause
of this
