No. Put it back where it belongs. If you cannot do it then wire it up temporarily so you can get to a shop.

Yes it is part of the evap system and no you can't (shouldn't) drive with it off.
I need to know what this part is ? It's in the back of my 2005 grand marquie behind the rear tire
