Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought my 2019 Jeep Cherokee in October.
It’s been back monthly for the same radio
issues/uconnect. First the ringer volume is
VERY loud.  Every time I get a call I about
have a heart attack!!  It can not be changed.
It always defaults back to the high volume
when a call comes in. Also the screen will just
run thru randomly. My ac will turn off then on
then heat then back to max ac. It goes thru
my contacts makes random calls then just
flips thru screens. This is ridiculous that I’m
paying $30,000+ for a car and they can’t fix
this

Thank you for your reply. I wish it were that easy of a fix. They’ve replaced the whole radio system already and are just as “ confused &frustrsted” as I am - although I highly doubt that as they aren’t stuck with this broken system that I’m paying on monthly. They told me after they had it for 3 days yet again last week, that Jeep is aware of the issue and hopefully another update to fix it will be available in March. I fear this will be the go to answer for every month I own this Jeep and will never be fixed

Just bought a 2019 6 day’s ago and the ringer volume is incredibly loud! It’s a super safety issue in my opinion. In the last several days instead of enjoying my 6 day old Jeep Cherokee all I have been doing is trying everything and reading everything possible to fix this and nothing does. As of right now I will not recommend anyone buy a Jeep with this system, I wish I had known this before I bought the 2019 Jeep.

I have the same issue with my 2019 Jeep. Try turning the volume up on your phone. It does seem to help and it is not as loud

Thanks, I’ll give it a try... Turning up the volume is definitely something I haven’t tried. I’ll let all of you know how it goes for me.

Turning up the phone volume to lower the volume on the ring? Really? That’s your solution?

I didn’t say that was my solution, I just said I’d try it. That was someone else’s idea. And yes it didn’t help. As of right now there doesn’t seem to be a fix for this incoming call volume issue.

I think it’s time for a class action lawsuit. This has been going on for over 3-4 years now according to some threads. This is a complete safety hazard when you are driving to get distracted by a noise at such high decibels.

Just had my 2019 Jeep Cherokee served at the Jeep dealership again last week and they said they couldn’t find a thing wrong with the incoming ring! This is completely BS because it does it every time. When I was merging onto the freeway coming home I got a call and it rang so loud I almost crashed! This is a serious safety problem.
