bmw m3 f80 2018 boot water leak

hi can any one help at all. so i have a m3 f80 2018 competition pack. and my
boot is full of water, battery compartment nearly full to the top by water, and
the amp section full of water to. so i have it booked in with bmw next week,
But it seems even though i pay extra warrenty ect i may have to pay for all
the new parts battery, amp ect which is going to cost a fortune. Iv been told
by a few machanics i know that tihs is a common fault with my modal. So iv
been searching google for proof of this to present to bmw as proof. can
anyone steer me in right direction

It sounds like the boot seal aka weather stripping is ripped, cut, deformed or failed in some way. It might possible be the sunroof drains are draining into the boot vs outside the car and the drains are blocked or not connected properly. Your BMW dealer doesn't need an article online for proof to make a repair. There are linked into the system / database that describes common issues on certain vehicles. I looked online for some info and found none. Good Luck at the dealer.
