where is the bracket to remove the dipstick funnel on a 1999 mazda protege

broke the dipstick now cannot check oil need to remove the dipstick funnel but cannot find the bracket that holds it on

How close is the dipstick to the top of the tube?

Go to your car parts store and buy a small extendable magnet and put down in the tube and pull the dipstick out.
