My low fuel indicator never comes on.  What is the issue?

Not running the tank low enough? BTW. It is better for your fuel pump to never run the tank low.

F_O_R my fuel gauge is digital (12 lights) instead of the normal analog gauge. I have let it get to the 2nd and 3rd light from empty just to see if it ever came in and it doesn’t. The range to empty mileage at those levels are low mileage and 50 miles to empty. Just don’t understand why it never turns on.
