Navigator 2006 Shift gear

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In my SUV for any reason the shift gear is  very hard to change from parking to
whatever other position, i have to force the shift gear to work. it's curious that is
happen since when the light on the panel doesn't work. any idea?
