Question type: Maintenance & Repair

RAV4 Hybrid Limited 2016.

Car wash forces water through cow grille and spills all
over passenger side inside the vehicle.

Toyota Corporate and dealership state it's not a design
flaw but that I should go to a different car wash. They
want to modify the vehicle to protect at high pressure at
no charge though, non OEM. It's been 4 months trying to
resolve this issue. 8k miles on the vehicle.

What should I do?

Thank you. The vehicle has been inspected at the dealership 7 times. To solve the issue, I've been duct taping the cowe grille for now. The air blower in the car wash forces a high pressure on the water directly into the car. Their water expert wants to design something to help with high pressure car washes. It drains normal with a garden hose directly in the cowe grille.

I had a similar issue on a brand new 2007 rav4. Turn out to be a missing part that seals the front glass from the vehicles body. To this day I don't know if it was the manufacturers fault or the glass company that replaced the windshield glass. The car was 3 weeks old when a bird dropped a tiny rock on my windshield glass, tried to remove it by turning on the wipers, ohhh what a mistake that was! The tiny rock turned into a glass cutter!
