Asked by Guru9Y2TYS Feb 10, 2021 at 03:40 PM about the 2015 Hyundai Elantra

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My vehicle started 3 weeks ago stalling as soon as I got to work parking lot.
When it stalls oil, battery, engine light come on. I shut it off and turn it on again
then I see when I turn on the steering wheel with exclamation point come on
the it goes off. I have taken it to 4 different mechanics with the same
conclusion they can’t find anything on the diagnostic. I drive 20 miles one way
to work. I have stalled at a red light on a hill, backing out or pulling into my
driveway. I am starting to think people think I am nuts.  Please somebody help

Same problem with my 2014 Elantra. There are some other posts on this site about the same issue.. usually coincides with a flickering oil light. I had the oil pressure sensor and oil changed and it solved the problem for 10 months, but it is back now. You should contact a Hyundai dealership and ask about the engine diagnostic (~$150-400 depending on time). If they determine it is a defective engine, they are replacing them as long as you have a record of oil changes based on the recommended times in your manual. I think it's every 12,000 km or 12 months.
