changing alternator belt

what brackets need loosened to change the alternator belt?

most likely the one on the top of the alternator then you shold be able to slide the alternator towards the engine and the belt will be loose, unles it has a tensioner pully, which can be identified somewhat gennerally by te picture attatched. turn clockwise in this case to relive tention, should make sense even if yours looks a little different.
