Remote will not open the car

It may have to be reprogramed. Was the papery disconnected or was it jumps started? The computer is a finicky thing. But do check the battery first. The GMC came with two remotes. Did you check the other one? Fuse? Alarm system? Does the rear deck lid function? How about the remote start? Alarm work? If nothing works, it is a fuse, battery, remote, or $$$$.

Neither remote works. Manually everything functions so far. Do not know where vehicle receiver is located or how to check. I also will check to see if iPhone will open and close, start, etc. Just tried key remote and it unlocked car, then stopped working again. Intermittent is no fun. Thanks for any suggestions. Frank

Purchased 2010 gmc terrain they didn't give me the original key The one I have is a cut duplicate and it won't unlock my door from outside

How old is your car battery? If original, might consider replacing it, thinking if the voltage drops to a certain point, might kill the remote feature as a safety option to save the battery
