I have a 1994 Jeep Wrangler and the speedometer does not work. Any recommendations on repair?

there is a cable from the tail of the trans or transfer case that connects to the spedo. Either the gear that spins the cable is gone, the cable broke on the inside of it's insulation, or the gauge is bad.
