why would fuel pump not work with out turning key on and letting it set for a minute to hear the fuel relay tick before it works

your question makes no sence.. but any how, no fule pump works without power,you have to turn ignition on to power-up your relay in return your relay powers up your pump

because it's electrically controlled and your system is slowing down. Electrical circuits DO wear out over time. How long is a "minute?" 3 seconds, an actual minute, etc?

because u have to turn the key all the way to ignition and the engine should be runnig because wihtuot the engine running thye fuel pump wont go on
