Question type: Maintenance & Repair

hey guys i was wondering if anyone could help me out so here goes - i have a 97' that every time i crank the wheel to far too the right, you hear an awful grinding sound. At first i thought it might be the tires (31's) hitting the frame but i watched while someone else did it and turns out its not. Any ideas as to what could be grinding or catching?
