my dome lights stays on and can't figure what I did to make them stay on

Try setting them to automatic mode and then locking them using your keyless remote. Should do the trick

Are they the kind where you can also "soft punch" them, and they click on and off ? My 50 Lb. dog used to jump over from the back seat, into the back of the jeep, and she'd always manage to bump the light "on" when she'd do it. I'd have to bump it again, to click it off. :)
