Check engine light turned on then started flashing then disappeared. Toyota

So my Toyota corolla 2014 check engine light turned on about last week. I
got an oil change during that time and it was still on. Then it started flashing
while I was driving and I was about to pull over when it disappeared.

I'm not sure if I should go to my Toyota shop and get my engine looked at or
if i'm fine? When I got the car, the light was on all the time due to a
malfunction and I got it fixed. Last year I had my evap canister replaced and
the charcoal canister. So i'm not sure if it has anything to do with that? It's
been driving fine since but i noticed when I turn my car on, it shows up for a
split second before going away.

The check engine light coming on for a moment during start up is normal. It's designed that way so you know the light bulb is working. I would suggest having it looked at though. A flashing check engine light is warning you that the engine is misfiring and damaging the catalytic converter. Catalytic converters are not cheap. You might have a failing ignition coil or bad spark plug. To replace either of those plus labor is way less expensive than the catalytic converter! Hope that helps! Jim
