P0304 code on my 2002 Jeep Liberty Please Help

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car wouldn't start and I thought it was the starter..  Took it to my mechanic and he replaced something in the drive shaft.  It had to do with the ignition.  It was a very small part that had a medal small poll like piece that broke.  I apologize, I don't know much about cars.  My question is, he just replaced this piece yesterday.  I drive to work this morning and the engine light came on.  At first it was blinking and the car was acting funny, now the light just stays on, nothing weird and at least it's not blinking.  Does this have something to do with what was just replaced?  Can I drive with this code for awhile until I figure out what's wrong with it and get the money for it?

Have check engine light code or codes read that will let you know if it was something he did or just something else that went bad making it look like it was something he did.
