I have a 03 Grand Cherokee Laredo v-6. The Gas mileage has decreased dramatically to 13 MPG. What would cause this? Could the Message Center be displaying incorrect data?

It's entirely possible you are getting incorrect data from the Message center. Try resetting it and drive for a few tanks of gas to get your average fuel mileage over that time. You might also be due for a new air filter, tune-up, and possibly an oxygen sensor. These will help increase your gas mileage. Check your tires to see if they are low air pressure -- if the air pressure is low it can rob 2-3 mpg from your driving.

might need an oil change, too. A Mopar(Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep) dealer will do that for probly $30, takes less than a half hour
