Digital cluster desplay stopped working

Asked by Jenny Feb 23, 2016 at 12:56 PM about the 2013 Chevrolet Captiva Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My dealership in quoting me $700 to $800 to
replace it!!! Holy cow I can't afford that.
Any suggesting on how to get around this?
Order the part or have it installed
elsewhere? Thanks!

Most of that quote is likely to be the labor needed to take your dash apart. If you have the skills, buy the part and replace it yourself. Once you have the dash parts out of the way, it is usually just a few mounting screws and an electrical connector or two. You may need some advice on how to handle the odometer reset if it is part of the "cluster" on the car.
