Will a Jeep Cherokee water pump fit on a Jeep Wrangler

I live in Botswana and battling to find a water pump for my Wrangler but can get a Cherokee pump. Will it fit/be compatible

Sorry to say but No it will not. You have to find the one for your vehicle.

In the US they both have the same 4.0 liter motor. I would think they would be interchangeable. But I don't know for sure. Is it possible to measure and try?

I gave him that answer because I looked up the part numbers, and are different. Also had pictures and they looked different. Doesn't mean all this is write, I'm just going by my source. The guy lives across the pond, It would be niece to try and give him a source.
