Is it safe to drive with ABS, dynamic assist and hill assist lights on?

Asked by Barbara Jan 06, 2017 at 02:53 PM about the 2014 Subaru Forester

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

They came on after hitting something with left front wheel while backing up.
The car seems to drive ok and the next free appointment at dealership is 4
weeks away.

If you still have good brakes then yes. Just your ABS system may not be working. From what you describe it is probably a wheel sensor or a wire got torn off.

I suspect you damaged the wheel speed sensor on your left front wheel. You will still have brakes but this is winter so you really need your ABS to be working. I would not wait 4 weeks if it were my car.
