the repair involves removing the gas tank to replace the fuel level sending unit. Used or rebuilt units should be about $150 although a creative mechanic may be able to use a generic sending unit that is compatible with Isuzu's gage ohm-range requirement. The labor depends on the condition of the tank and straps but I'd guess about 3-4 hrs for the job.
