What is this hole near my gas nozzle?

Asked by GuruP7GSF Jan 29, 2020 at 01:27 PM about the 2013 Honda Accord

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I went to pump gas today, and I noticed that there
was a small hole under the gas nozzle. I’m not sure
what could have caused it or if it needs to be
repaired. I was wondering if maybe some excess
gas dropped there and created a hole. Has anyone
seen something like this before?

You could replace the plastic liner but I would ignore it because this hole is not significant.

That is a factory drain hole in case gasoline or water doesn't pool and accumulate in there.
