Im looking at a 2012 Toyota sequioa in texas, but I live in CA. Do these SUVs
have different emissions standards in different states?

If it is a 49 state car you can't register it in California. Make sure it is a 50 state car before buying. Make sure it passes a California smog check too or you could be in for a world of hurt.
