2012 Hyundai Santa Fe won’t start

Asked by 2Landers Dec 19, 2018 at 03:58 PM about the 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 4 cyl 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe started right
up with no problem, we went to the grocery
store, and now we’re stuck. The battery
seems to be fine (we tried jumping it and
tested it by turning on the headlights/wipers
etc) and the engine just ticks very quietly. The
starter is very hard to get to in this car so I
can’t try tapping it. What could be the
problem? How can I get it home in the
meantime?

1 Answer

Thank you! It turns out the battery connection to the starter was very loose- just needed to be securely “plugged in”!
