How can I turn off the check engine light? The dealership is a pain to get into and I know there are no issues

You can disconnect the positive battery terminal for 15 minutes and then reconnect. If there aren't any hard codes, the CEL will stay off. OR, you can use an OBD-II diagnostic tool and erase any codes that way.

Also depending on the vehicle after a designated number of ignition/start cycles with no codes present, the light will go out by itself.

Good catch Mr. Shoes. I've never had that happen and watch, the next time I disconnect my battery it'll happen. Haha :P
