Battery light

Asked by Guru17QSF Sep 30, 2019 at 03:54 PM about the 2012 Dodge Avenger

Question type: General

Had a new alternator installed last year becasue it went out. a couple a days
ago my battery came on so i proceed to purchase a new battery.  When I was
replacing the old battery it had a date sold 1/2018 which means it still should be
good. So i put in a new battery and now the light comes on again and now it will
not start unless I get a jump.  What could be the cause?

A battery light on means you have a charging issue. I'd have the alternator tested and or the wiring.

I'm having this problem changed alternator battery and starter on 2010 dodge advenger and now car wont turn over...it's it possible it had something to do with the key?
