Newer light repairs include removal of that whole light pod, then take it to the bench. the clips and fasteners install it from behind. you may need picks or strange pliers or long reach tools, perhaps. The arrangement is like the germans started doing in the 1980's. You remove it as a module, service it, then reinstall it, replace a mess of hardware and or clips sometimes to keep it installed and aligned correctly.
