Maybe a head gasket?

Asked by Andreagullett Sep 18, 2018 at 12:29 PM about the 2012 Chrysler 200

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car over heated on tbe way to church. Got it home and
replaced thermastat, still bubbling in reservoir, no leaking
though, was told probably head gasket, small crack.  Went
and got Blue Devil for temp fix while looking into permanent
fix.  While going through the process about 15 mins in
coolant started leaking badly on the ground.  I can't find
where or why?

You should have the system pressure tested and see if it holds pressure. Try to isolate where the leak is from then you will be able to determine what to do next. Also a cylinder compression test will verify if indeed you have a head gasket problem Good Luck!
