Is the overflow tank actually overflowing? The cap has a pressure relief valve which allows this. So are you seeing coolant spillage around the cap and smell coolant in the engine compartment? Are you adding coolant daily? If so, what are you adding? Water or properly mixed coolant.?

The plastic coolant bottle should hold coolant. There is a mark on the side of it which indicates the level when hot and when cold. If it is cracked or there is a leak in the hose running to it your system is open and fluid will leak out.
