Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello i have just bought a 2011 Kia Sportage 1.7 diesel. The vehicle has 50,000 and
was last serviced at 20,000 miles. The vehicle was 1st reg July 2011. I have serveral
questions.
q1 Is my vehicle still under warranty as it doesnt seem to have been serviced since
20,00?q2 Can i take the vehicle to a garage of my choice or does it have to be a kia
dealer.
q3 If i take it to garage of my choice and use Kia parts and keep invoices for same will i
still be covered.
q4. We only do about 5.000 miles a year, do we still have to get the vehicle serviced
every year.
q5 How often does kia recommend that we service the vehicle.
Regards
David

The basic warranty on a 2011 Kia Sportage is 60,000 miles/5 years, so it should be covered, unless 1) it's non- transferable 2) voided because of non-maintenance, and BohoIMark there is right, you will have to ask the dealer, or Kia HQ.@ 1.800.333.4542

Hi guys thanks for that, i already asked my local dealer and he didnt really give me a straight answer. Reading between the lines i dont think he was goimg to cover my engine and gearbox because the vehicle wasnt fully serviced. i am in the trade myself and they wanted £225 for a basic service once a year which i could do myself.
