2011 chwvy impala reading engine hot, A/C off

Our car keeps saying engine hot then below that
says a/c off. Also the tempreture gage is all the
way at zero.the heat works he have not had the ac
on in a while,it did this and took it in and the
mechanic replaced the thermostat it has been
normal after that, and now a week later its doing
the same thing.

Hi! Did you find out what the problem was? I’ve been having this issue for some time now. I’ve been to Chevy and have change thermostat and sensor. Went away and came back. Please help
