Ive been trying to replace the water pump in my tiburon and was told I needed to remove the idler pulley to get to the timing cover and get it off so I can get to the bolts on the water pump

you need to loosen the tensioner so you can take the serpentine belt. you should be able to remove the idler pulley simply by removing the bolt on the front. You may have to wiggle it a bit because of tit being on there so long.. it may have gotten tight

It's the one with the arm on it that used to loosen the belt two big bolts on it but you're still going to take off the timing cover top and bottom
