Lock and Unlock

Question type: General

I have a 2010 Ford f-150 truck. When I get in it and it doesn't, I have to lock it and unlock it, then it will start.

Are you using the key or fob to unlock the door when entering?

OK. I have an Explorer which, if I open the door via the key, I have to cycle the FOB or master door switch from lock to unlock for the vehicle to start. If I open the door via the FOB, the car will start. Appears to be the way it was designed.
